I’m sure you’ve heard of many people taking creative inspiration from their dreams, no? But you might find it interesting that I took my inspiration for this piece not from a dream that I had, but from a dream my then boyfriend had. He told me one night that he had dreamt of soaring through the air in his Avali form, and for some time I envied that feeling, wishing I could dream like that myself. His dream had given me a spark, so on the 21st of may, I got to work.
